Eastern Illinois University, a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and sponsor of 20 Division I sports, is seeking applications for the 2021-22 academic year in the following areas:
Graduate Assistant for Athletic Training: Under the director of the head athletic trainer the position provides and assists with the athletic training services in an integrated environment of all intercollegiate sports according to departmental policy. Minimum certifications apply to be considered for this position including being a graduate of an accredited athletic training program and NATABOC certified or eligible to sit for exam.
Graduate Assistant for Media Relations: Duties include working as the contact for selected sports as a member of the EIU Athletic Communications Office to include posting information on the athletic department website, recording and distributing statistics, social media posts and other duties as assigned. Previous undergraduate media relations office experience and statistic work with STAT Crew or Genius preferred.
Graduate Assistant for Development: Duties include working with the Athletic Development Team to entertain and recruit current and potential athletic department donors and EIU Panther Club members. Candidate will work to secure items for EIU annual Spring Fling fund raising event and other duties as assigned.
Graduate Assistant for Video / TV Production: Duties include overseeing the student broadcast crew for EIU’s game broadcasts on ESPN+. Candidate will also help to compile game highlight clips, video segments on featured athletes and other duties as assigned. Candidates should have previous video experience to include working on Digital Streaming Broadcasts and editing in Adobe Premier.
Graduate Assistant for Operations: Duties include serving as the game day operations manager for several Eastern Illinois athletic home events to include hiring/supervision of student workers, set up and break down of facility, working with coaches & game day officials and other game day duties as needed. Position will also help with scheduling of practice times and use of EIU Athletic facilities.
