Director of Ticket Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: Manage ticket operations staff and all ticketed sports as an extension of ticketing sport managers and supporting staff. Supervise game day and box office operations for Gopher Football events. Ensure all ticketed events are executed at a high level as defined by Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations. Assist in day-to-day operations of ticketing staff, including three direct reports to which this position is expected to manage and mentor. SALES OPERATIONS (35% of job): • Assist with the creation of products sold through Paciolan, which includes but is not limited to: season tickets, single-game tickets, event registration, memberships, donations, multi-product packages, and specialty items. • Create and maintain event/product creation and event/product testing manuals for all events, products, and memberships assigned to this position • Assist with business intelligence creation and scheduling TICKET OFFICE (65% of job): • Responsible for large-scale events. Liaison to the event manager, responsible for all internal ticket sales, communication, and customer service at events. • Manage season ticket invoicing process • Create and manage fundraising campaigns, which includes set-up, testing, and implementation • Create and schedule reports based on each stakeholder's needs • Work with event staff for game day and customer service programs • Perform weekly updates on gophersports.com/tickets with relevant information • Football Responsibilities – including, but not limited to: o Allocate all player guest and student manager tickets o Premium ticket packaging for pickup and shipment of tickets o Manage tickets for player and coaches guest on away games o Act as the ticket manager for sport and oversee game-day operations o Oversee complimentary admissions, including player guest, recruits, & high school coaches • Supervise, train, and mentor three full-time direct reports and assist as they manage and maintain ticket operations for the ten ticketed sports within Gopher Athletics DESIRED OUTCOMES: • Ensure all internal and external ticketing needs are met promptly • Write and communicate at a high level. Emails, letters, and all other correspondence should be grammatically sound and free from errors. • Represent the University of Minnesota in a positive manner both on and off duty WORK SCHEDULE: • Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm • Special game day duties may require weekend work and/or evening schedule • Away game travel may be required Starting salary for this position is $50,000.00 (100%) and we are currently at 90% appointments for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Additional Salary Information: We are currently at 90% appointments so the actual salary will be 90% of $50,000.00 until we return to 100%.
