Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in higher education, academic advising or Student-Athlete Support Services OR Master’s degree in area of counseling, student affairs/services, education or sports management, or related field and at least 1 year of experience working in higher education.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills
• Demonstrated direct experience working with diverse populations (i.e. race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, religion, ability, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and connect with students of all genders and diverse racial and cultural backgrounds
• Experience in the holistic development of intercollegiate student-athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA rules relating to academic and eligibility standards
• Proven ability to relate well with students, coaches and university staff
• Effective management, administrative and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across the University
• Knowledge of and experience working with computerized student records
• Ability to learn quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
