Alvernia University, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, is accepting applications for the full-time position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
The Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for providing ethical leadership in managing all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Women's Soccer program including, but not limited to, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes and preparing student-athletes for success through practice planning, strategy development, and skill instruction.
The Head Coach will also be responsible for tracking their student-athlete’s academic progress, maintaining appropriate records and paperwork, and ensuring compliance with all university, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and NCAA policies, rules, and regulations. A Bachelor’s degree and successful experience as a student-athlete and/or coach is required. Master’s degree and college head coaching experience is desired.
The successful candidate will display a record of accomplishment “on the field” as well as “off the field” having served as a role model, mentor and teacher/coach to successful student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate and be able to communicate a commitment to the mission and core values and goals of Alvernia University and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes to learn and grow. Strong communication, organizational, supervisory, and team-building capabilities are required.
This position will have additional administrative responsibilities based upon the experience and expertise of the successful candidate and departmental need.
