East Tennessee State University is currently accepting applications for the following regular position: Assistant Men’s/Women’s Track and Field Coach. East Tennessee State University is an NCAA Division 1 institution and a member of the Southern Conference. This is a fulltime, benefitted position. Duties will include assisting the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country with practice and training routines for male and female student athletes in the following events: Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, Javelin and Weight Throw and Multi-Events. This position will assist in management of on-campus track meets, including the setup and breakdown of equipment to include specific event throws area, weigh-in of implements and monitoring competition from a safety standpoint. This position will also perform assigned administrative tasks, recruit athletes within the event group, drive vans for team practice/travel, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year collegiate coaching experience required. A valid driver’s license is required. Background check required.
