Lenoir-Rhyne University, a NCAA Division II institution and member of the South Atlantic Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Game Day Operations. This person will gain hands-on experience in facility & event operations through a number of tasks.
Responsibilities will include assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities/Game Day Operations in all aspects of daily operations, maintaining a seamless facility scheduling system, ensuring a top tier game day experience, and coordinating intern and work study positions. A stipend, meal plan, housing, and tuition remission towards a graduate degree is available. Description of Key Duties and Tasks 1.Help oversee all athletic facilities on a day-to-day basis pertaining to operations and maintenance. 2.Help coordinate game-day operations for 23 NCAA sports. 3.Coordinate scheduling for all athletic facilities. 4.This position will be the primary non-LRU Athletics event manager. 5.Supervise interns and work study positions. 6.Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in sport management, communications, or related field.
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in college athletics, preferably in facilities and/or event management
Ability to work nights and weekends
Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Graduate assistants shall be admitted to a Lenoir-Rhyne University graduate program.
