Florida International University (FIU) in Miami is seeking applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. FIU is a member of Conference USA and offers eighteen (17) NCAA Division I sports programs. The successful candidates will assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach to enhance the physical and mental development of intercollegiate student-athletes through the establishment of sports specific training programs that intensify the physical strength, speed, and cardiovascular conditioning of the student-athlete. Primary sports coverage and experience is required in football, men’s soccer and women’s basketball. Instruct, monitor and educate all student-athletes regarding proper weight training techniques and designs training programs for both improved performance and injury prevention. Assist in the general operation and maintenance of the athletics weight room and attend practices and competitions. Division I college experience preferred.
