We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for working with youth and adults with disabilities as a Recreation Manger. The Recreation Manager plays an essential role in the success and growth of Stepping Stones Recreation and Leisure programs. This position will focus on the assessing, development and implementation of exceptional programming operations that help create meaningful and safe experiences for our participants, families, staff, and volunteers. Along with providing leadership to the recreation team, this position will interface with team members as a liaison with practices relating to human resources, program facilities and client services. As a part of the recreation and leisure team, this role is responsible for ensuring our recreation programs reflects and furthers the program model of Stepping Stones. As the manager of the program, they will provide support and supervision to the Recreation Assistants, and the seasonal program staff while creating a community of inclusion, teamwork and safety.
• This position requires a minimum of 5 years of recreation/camp program development, staff training, and supervision. • Recreation Manager must have demonstrated experience in program planning, budget management and development of new programs. • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, (CTRS or CPRP certification would be preferred). • Must possess high levels of self-motivation and leadership abilities. • Work Hours: The Recreation Manager is a full time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week. Scheduled hours vary and are determined based on program needs. This position requires night and weekend work, and the work hours will need to be adjusted accordingly. • A driver's license is required as well as the capacity to drive to various locations. • Must be able to obtain certification in CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
Additional Salary Information: Competitive salary of $48,500 - $51,000 with full benefits package to include: generous paid time off, 403B, employee dental, life and long-term disability insurance at no cost. Low cost health and vision are also available. Also includes eligibility in tuition reimbursement and student loan forgiveness programs.
