Friends University is seeking to fill the Director of Golf position in Wichita Kansas. This position will serve as head men’s or women’s golf coach and provide administrative oversight for both golf programs. This includes development, execution and assessment of plans for: budget management, personnel management, recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the program.

Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred.
2-4 years of coaching experience preferred; College coaching and recruitment experience preferred.
Requires strong financial management, time management and personnel management skills. The individual must possess acute understanding of sport preparation and facilitation. Some experience and skill in fundraising and summer camp development will be considered. Requires knowledge of coaching theory, the psychology of coaching and to be able to put this knowledge into everyday practice. Requires knowledge of all NAIA and athletic conference eligibility processes and standards and to ensure compliance of those standards.
The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterity.
The individual must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.
