Summary: Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, and supervisory skills are essential. Must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with other members of the coaching staff and administration.
Team Head Coach Responsibilities
Plan and execute weekly training three (3) times per week. During weeks with multiple games one training session can be recovery and/or a film session (using footage from games).
Review game footage of each game, analyze and implement review of game film into weekly training (this can be accomplished by sharing clips electronically with players).
Collaborate with Tulsa SC staff in recording game film (no man held cameras required), uploading game film, and sharing game film with team.
Implement Tulsa SC Curriculum in training (tactical and physical periodization and technical training)
Conduct training sessions that are game like, encourage a high degree of decision making, are developmentally appropriate, and offer ample opportunity for players to improve.
Create a practice environment that is well organized, safe, and fun.
Create game plans that help players be successful in games – reaching tactical and technical benchmarks and creating a winning mentality.
Communicate effectively and timely with players and parents regarding all team matters.
Conduct two individual players evaluations per season per player.
Continuously communicate to players and their parents about the players’ performance and progress.
Work with other coaches in age group and conduct combined training sessions to evaluate talent pool.
Reporting Responsibilities for Boys ECNL Head Coach:
Maintain regular (frequency will vary with season) and open communication with Club directors on all matters pertaining to your teams.
Provide Club Directors with quarterly reports on progress of teams.
Games & Gameday Responsibilities for Boys ECNL Head Coach:
Arrive at game, if coaching, at least sixty (60) minutes prior to the scheduled game start time to help setup fields, tents, etc.
Attend all ECNL games and assist your colleagues with their games.
Conduct yourself as stated under the code of conduct and represent club in a respectful honorable manner.
Encourage your team to compete and represent the club and the game in a respectful and honorable manner.
Address all conflicts or concerns of any sort with exception of player safety away from the field of play.
Adhere to a 24-hour cooling off period prior to any formal or informal discussion with a player, parent, coach, fan, or official.
Document all concerns and submit the documentation to Club directors
Attend meetings at the request of Club Directors
Assist with Club research and development relating to technology, products, and services.
Assist with the promotion and implementation of key Club initiatives
Promote and participate in the player evaluation and player placement/team formation events.
Agree to openly communicate via phone, email, or in person with other Club directors
Promote, assist with the development and organization, and assist with club organized camps as requested by Club Director. (Mandatory Camp Participation will be at a maximum of 3 Camps/Year but not to exceed 8 calendar days/calendar year)
All applicants must be currently located in the United States.
Must have USSF or UEFA A or B License
