Upper Iowa University (UIU) Athletics is committed to meeting the comprehensive needs of its student-athletes. The Student-Athlete Success Graduate Assistant will report to the Associate AD for Student-Athlete Services and will work closely with the UIU student-athletes, the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, UIU Director of Academic Success and UIU Director of Counseling Services to aid in the academic success and personal and professional development of our student-athletes. Through monitoring and evaluation, research, interaction with the student-athletes and discussions with faculty, staff, and coaches, the GA will help advance the academic success and leadership development of the Upper Iowa student-athletes. The Athletics Department is striving to boost the attendance of its Life Skills Program, enrich the academic support offered to student-athletes, increase the academic reporting to coaches and staff, and enhance its Student-Athlete Mentor (SAM) program. The GA will help the Associate AD for Student-Athlete Services with enhancing and expanding these areas.
