Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking to hire two (2) Athletic Training Interns.
Essential Functions: Assist in prevention, evaluations, management, and rehabilitation of student-athlete’s injuries; Assist with the day-to-day operations of the athletic training room; Assist in practice and game coverage, home and away, of various sports; Assist the Head and Assistant Athletic Trainers with record keeping, medical reports, and other administrative duties.
These positions would start fall semester, August 1, 2020. Positions will be approximately 10 months, working 20 hours per week, compensation rate of $17.00 per hour. Occasional early morning and frequent late-night hours, weekend and holiday work as scheduled, Out-of-town travel for inter-collegiate athletic contests (when possible) and meeting/conferences 75% walking or standing.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Allied Health or related field. Preferably from a CAATE accredited program; NATA-BOC certification or eligible for certification; Eligible for Illinois Athletic Training License and Experience as an Athletic Training Student at the collegiate level.
