Saint Leo men's soccer program has captured three conference championships in program history, and made three NCAA tournament appearances in the last seven seasons. The Sunshine State Conference is one of the very best soccer conferences in the nation.
The Men's Soccer Assistant Coach is a full-time position and is responsible for assisting the head coach with all of the year-round activities of the men’s soccer program. The assistant coach is responsible for supporting all facets of the men’s soccer program relating to practice organization, game day management and preparation, player evaluation and recruiting of prospective student-athletes who can be successful in a collegiate environment. This individual assists student-athletes in academic, as well as athletic endeavors throughout the year.The assistant coach must demonstrate concern for academic pursuits by adherence to department and University academic policies, as well as initiation of personal academic goals for each student-athlete.The assistant coach will help the head coach select, train, evaluate, and mentor collegiate student-athletes. The assistant coach must adhere to all policies and procedures of the University, Sunshine State Conference and NCAA.
The position requires someone with initiative and an energy level that will enable the individual to work long hours. The position does include evening and weekend assignments. This is a full-time, non-teaching, 12-month position. A confidential review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Collegiate playing experience
Recruiting experience at the collegiate level
Experience in collegiate eligibilty requirements and NCAA compliance
Proven experience and ability to recruit quality student-athletes
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to function in highly competitive, community based, athletic department
Excellence in recruiting both foreign and domestic student-athletes
Experience with NCAA initial eligibility, amateurism standards and recruiting rules
USC or USSF coaching certifications
