The ASUN Conference is accepting applications for an internship position as Digital Content Assistant. The 12-month temporary position will begin no later than August 1. Total 12-month stipend is $24,000.
The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Commissioner for Broadcast Services and the Director of Social Media. The ASUN is an equal opportunity employer. The ASUN is an NCAA Division I conference with nine member institutions: Bellarmine University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Jacksonville University, Kennesaw State University, Liberty University, Lipscomb University, University of North Alabama, University of North Florida and Stetson University.
Primary Duties - Assist in marketing and promoting the ASUN and its student-athletes through video features and graphics - Prepare photo and video packages that are in sync with social media efforts that produce online traffic and fan engagement - Collaborate with Director of Social Media to develop original content for ASUN social media platforms - Coordinate with campus ESPN staffs to produce championship broadcasts and special events - Edit and produce weekly videos and all-conference videos - Research and identify possible stories and other exposure opportunities for student-athletes - Create post-production content (promo pieces, highlight videos, player profiles) - Conduct on-camera interviews with student-athletes and coaches
Bachelor’s degree required; background in graphic design, video editing and broadcast strongly desired
Must be able to work on numerous projects at one time and work on tight deadlines to get video on the website and social media in a timely manner
Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication
Must be goal- and task-oriented and possess excellent organization skills
Knowledge of storytelling
Experience with editing programs (i.e. Edius, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar program) is a requirement. Experience working with motion graphics (Adobe After Effects) is preferred. Experience working on the production side of athletic broadcasts is preferred (Xpression graphics, Ross Switchers, 3-Play, etc.)
A minimum of two years’ experience in athletic video production and marketing is required; preference will be given to candidates with collegiate sports experience
