The Director of Resource Development serves in the Department of Athletics and reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Fund. Baylor will fill this position at either the Assistant Director or the Director level, and reserves the right to make the final determination on title based on the qualifications of the final candidate selected. This position serves all current and future Bear Foundation Member and donors and manages a staff of student workers and a graduate assistant. The Director is responsible for assisting leadership with the planning and execution of Annual Fund membership campaigns and is accountable for meeting or exceeding fundraising goals. Additionally, this position is responsible for lead generation, and operations and financial reporting.
The successful candidate will have:
A Bachelor's Degree and relevant professional experience
Demonstrated high level of customer service
Experience with creating and preparing reports including financial reports
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Familiarity with Paciolan is preferred.
Additional position responsibilities include:
Cultivate a portfolio of donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor
Provide creative ideas for events with emphasis on the importance of philanthropy
Support efforts of annual giving through regular contact with alumni and potential donors
Utilize prospect research to develop portfolios and determine strategy in giving capacity
Perform to meet goals and objectives established
Support division events especially within assigned unit
Facilitate collaboration to increase private gifts from Baylor
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
