Piedmont College invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director, Athletic Communications. This position is integral to the operation of the athletic communications office especially when staffing home events. The number of overlapping sports occurring simultaneously requires a full-time staff member to be present and oversee the operations of the scorer’s table/ press box personnel, including interns and student-workers. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating the website and social media with stories, graphics, and posts relative to Piedmont athletics. This position is a support staff role with guidance, leadership or training oversight. Summary Description: Roles and Responsibilities
•Maintain and update regularly the athletic department website; •Produce graphics and video content across all 21 sports for Piedmont College; •Accumulate and report required conference, regional and national statistics; •Organize and oversee activities of statistical and scorer’s table/press box personnel, including interns and student-workers, necessary to each home athletic contest; •Assign scorekeeper, clock keepers, and PA announcer; •Provide Stat crew services; •Coordinate and implement all live broadcasts of athletic events; •Provide event management and facility operations including set up/break down of equipment at events; •Publish and make available game rosters for games, tournaments and athletic events held at Piedmont Athletic Facilities; and •Serve on college committees and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Assistant Athletic Director, Communications.
