The Director of Multimedia will provide oversight for the NDSU Athletics Video Department employees including full-time, graduate assistants, and student staff. This position will oversee the production of all athletic video and highlight shows while working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Departments to develop video content for digital platforms. Video production includes, but is not limited to: feature stories, highlights, interviews and motion graphics to effectively promote NDSU Athletics. Other responsibilities include streaming broadcasts, highlight shows and in-venue video boards. This position will play an integral role in maintaining positive working relationships with key partners such as The Summit League, The Missouri Valley Football Conference, Big 12, Bison Information Network, Bison Sports Properties, and other local media sources. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Telecommunications, Broadcast Journalism or related field
Two years of supervisory experience
Three years of experience creating and/or managing digital content, social media strategy, video editing/production, and/or graphics design in a timely manner
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, forward thinking, and ability to tell the story of Bison Athletics
Experience in creating engaging content including video, & motion graphics
Ability to interpret and utilize brand standards
Experience creating and/or monitoring department budgets
Experience with DSLR cameras/video cameras preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite specifically Adobe Premiere & Adobe After Effects
Experience as an in-house and/or remote producer
Working knowledge of broadcast equipment including a NewTek TriCaster, NewTek 3play, Daktronics Show Control, and general experience with audio equipment
The capacity to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Availability to work a non-standard work schedule which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and some overnight travel
Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment
Knowledge and experience working in broadcast roles such as technical directing, graphics, replay operation, camera operation and audio
