James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA and Colonial Athletic Association is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Development (JMU Duke Club). A full tuition waiver is available for the 2020-21 academic year to include up to 18 graduate credits, and an Assistantship stipend is provided as well. Assistantship dates are approximately from July 25, 2020 – May 9, 2021 and may be renewed for the 2021-2022 academic year contingent on yearly performance evaluations by the Director of the Annual Fund. Applicants must be willing to work a non-standard work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Candidates must meet university qualifications for enrollment in graduate school. It is highly recommended that candidates submit their application for graduate admission concurrently with the graduate assistantship application. No Graduate Assistant position can be offered until candidates have been accepted into a graduate degree program.
Assist the Director of the Annual Fund in Communication and Marketing efforts through content creation for email, website, social media and solicitations.
Assist with management of Student Duke Club and Young Alumni Program by providing administrative support, communications and marketing plans for new donor acquisition, benefit fulfillment, and database management.
Provide administrative support to the Duke Club areas (Annual Fund, Premium Seats, Special Events, Donor Stewardship and Major Gifts).
Assist with the internal operations and database management (Paciolan, Salesforce and Advance).
Provide exceptional front-line customer service through in-bound and out-bound phone calls, email and in-person meetings.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Annual Fund.
