Job Description Content creation responsibilities include, but are not limited to, producing graphic design and video/motion elements for various BGSU Athletics social media platforms, assisting in the production of select video board content, and assisting in the creation of literature across all areas of the department. The qualified candidate must be able to fulfill requests from many different areas, including athletic communications, marketing, ticketing, development, and all athletic teams, while adhering to and assisting in the development of the department’s brand standards.
Social media responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with the Athletics Communications and New Media departments to set the vision and focus for the department, organizing key initiatives, and handling many of the day-to-day duties of each platform (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
The intern will assist at home athletic events and will be required to be available for all home football games. Limited travel, as well as evening and weekend work, is required. The successful candidate will be expected to complete other Athletic Communications duties as assigned.

A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication technology, communications, sports management or a related field is preferred or use of the internship to fulfill the requirements to obtain a degree; the successful candidate should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects preferred; experience with DSLR cameras/video cameras preferred; experience with ICS Sidearm websites or similar content management system preferred; experience managing social media campaigns preferred; experience in file management and organization preferred; experience working with collegiate coaching staffs preferred; strong writing and grammar skills.
Additional Salary Information: The nine-month position will begin approximately Sept. 1 and will work through June 1 and will receive a salary of $12,000 ($1,333/month). This does not include employee benefits.
