The Athletics Department at Linfield College is seeking a Head Men’s Soccer Coach. The Head Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for providing leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the men’s soccer program to support a competitive and successful program within the Northwest Conference and NCAA Division III. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: •Provide leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the women’s soccer program. •Follow all NCAA Division III, Northwest Conference and Linfield College rules and regulations, and meet or exceed the expectations outlined in the athletic department’s policies and procedures manual •Actively recruit prospective student-athletes for soccer that will succeed academically at Linfield College and enhance the level of competition for the soccer programs within the NWC and NCAA Division III with direct responsibility for the men’s program. •Manage the men’s soccer budget, following purchasing and spending guidelines as set by the college and the athletic department. •Hire, train and supervise part-time assistant coaches for the men’s soccer program. •Schedule contests with consultation and approval from the athletic director. •Conduct out of season training sessions for soccer, in compliance with NCAA and NWC regulations •Cultivate a positive team image, promote and support the overall student-athlete experience and aid in the academic, athletic and social development of student-athletes •Perform other duties as assigned by the athletic director

Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of soccer collegiate coaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, coaching and/or playing experience • CPR/First Aid certification required (may be obtained on the job) • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications • Minimum USSF “C” coaching license or equivalent • Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level • Master’s degree in a relevant field of study
Physical Requirements • Work is physical in nature, requiring constant walking, standing, talking, seeing and hearing • Ability to physically demonstrate soccer techniques • Occasional sitting and desk work
