The assistant coach for Women's Soccer is directly accountable to the Head Women's Soccer Coach in all aspects of the program, including: Recruiting and retaining talented, good-fit student-athletes; providing mature, biblical spiritual leadership and direction for student-athletes; mentoring student-athletes in their academic performance to assure timely progress toward degree completion and graduation; coaching the team during scheduled practices and competitions; demonstrating increasing competitive accomplishment; assisting with budget management, scheduling, data organization and soccer camps; functioning within NCAA and ASC rules and regulations; cultivating relationships with campus faculty and staff and external relationships with alumni and friends of the program, as well as other duties assigned by supervisor.
Demonstrated success in coaching soccer, preferably at the collegiate level, as well as a Bachelor's Degree. Effective verbal and written communication skills; sound interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, university personnel and members of the off-campus community; the candidate must fully support the vision and mission of the University as well as subscribe to its Statement of Faith. Coaching diploma is not required but preferred.

position of Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer. The successful candidate chosen for this full-time
position will work directly under the supervision of the Head Women's Soccer Coach to further develop
a successful, competitive NCAA Division III program, grounded in discipleship and mentoring. Belhaven
is an NCAA Division III institution sponsoring seventeen sports programs and holding conference
membership in the American Southwest Conference (ASC). Belhaven University is also a member of the
