Illinois State University invites applications for the position of Football Videographer Graduate Assistant. This Pre-Professional (.67 FTE), 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend of $1,224 per month. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State's Graduate School and be prepared to begin working no later than August 1, 2020. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: acquisition, editing and distribution of videotaped games and practices, help organize opponent exchange using DV Sport Gameday and DragonFly, help markup/prepare downloaded games from DV Sport Gameday and DragonFly, help with hiring and training new/current student employees, organize video setup for practices and games, aid in lending technical support to the players and coaching staff when they are pursuing a project that requires the use of editing software, acquire and edit video for motivational highlights for team, and perform other duties as assigned by the Football Video Coordinator.
As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference, the Missouri Valley Football conference or the Summit League, the Athletics Department and Illinois State University.
Required qualifications include: bachelor’s degree; must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University majoring in: Recreation Administration, Communications, Sports Management, or Arts Technology; and eligible for appointment as per the IL State Univ. GA Handbook. Desired qualification include: Experience with DV Sport Gameday and DragonFly technology tools; experience with video editing.
