The Equipment Services Director will manage and oversee the inventory, ordering, and maintenance of all athletic and sports equipment for all UNCW’s Division 1 intercollegiate athletic sports programs. This includes evaluating the overall operation and creating new efficient operating procedures, implementing an inventory control system, overseeing apparel logo & branding for compliance, and ensuring compliance with Title IX equity concerns. This position will also serve as the liaison for apparel, footwear, and equipment providers, ensures compliance with NCAA/CAA/UNCW regulations, develops and monitors the Athletic equipment budget, oversees and issues all uniform and equipment to teams, coaches and/or individuals and retrieval.
Months Per Year - 12 Months; Work Days- Monday - Friday with some weekend work; Work Hours -8:00AM - 5:00PM with some night & weekend hours; Recruitment Range$40,000 - $45,000

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position
Minimum of 3 years of experience in collegiate athletics equipment room and laundry services center
Working knowledge of an inventory control system with experience managing a large inventory
Demonstrated experience working with a team
Efficient time management and ability to work in a fast pace environment
Strong organizational, verbal, written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of NCAA regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to communicate effectively with outside vendors and all UNCW staff
Must be able to independently move and lift up to 30 pounds
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Prior relevant working experience in a Division I athletics program
Current certification with the AEMA
Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position
Current certification with the AEMA or must be certified within 90 days of hire.
