Located five miles from downtown Boston, Tufts University is a Division III member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the highly-competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The Assistant Manager - Athletics Operations & Promotions:
Assists the Athletics Business Operations Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating marketing and promotions strategies and managing daily operations of the Athletics Business office.
Develops, implements and evaluates digital and social media plans for engagement, promotion and branding in partnership with Sports Information and Athletics leadership.
Designs student/alumni/fan promotions, activities and game day scripts in collaboration with Office for Campus Life and other student organizations and campus partners
Creates graphics for marketing and promotions campaigns and athletics website.
Contributes to development and execution of Athletics special projects, functions/events and initiatives.
Assists Athletics Business Operations Manager with administrative, purchasing, travel coordination, sourcing, obtaining quotes, and negotiating with vendors.
Hires, schedules, and supervises Athletics department student employees.
Manages payroll for student and temporary employees.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience in a college or university Athletics Department
Experience in marketing and/or engagement in a college setting (or equivalent experience)
Excellent writing, interpersonal and organizational skills
Availability to work night and weekend events
Additional Preferred Requirements/Education:
Experience in collegiate athletics in one or more of the following areas: promotions, game day experience, marketing, engagement preferred
Proficiency with the following software and platforms: Photoshop, Premiere/Final Cut, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Excel preferred
