Head Women’s Soccer Coach

The Head Women’s Soccer Coach provides leadership and integrity through the provision of creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating and controlling aspects relative to teaching, recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, assistant coaches and related booster clubs. The primary function of the Head Coach will be to teach student-athletes the sport of Women’s Soccer. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach uses current methodologies and recognized best practices in his or her field, specifically in the sport of Women’s Soccer. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach must have the ability to coordinate a competitive program that develops the skills of his/her student-athletes in Women’s Soccer. He/she evaluates and recruits academically qualified student-athletes whose athletic skills would allow the program to be highly competitive. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach is expected to conduct him or herself as a true leader and role model both on and off the field of competition. Moreover, the Head Women’s Soccer Coach is expected to be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulatory policy governing his or her sport as well as NCAA policies governing recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. Evidence of the Head Women’s Soccer Coach’s mastery of rules and policy will be in the Departmental expectation that the Head Women’s Soccer Coach successfully complete the annually administered NCAA Coaches Exam.
