Friends University is seeking to fill the Assistant Athletic Director position in Wichita Kansas. The Assistant Athletic Director is responsible for the management and administration of event operations, assists in revenue generation for the athletic department, serves as point person for the Homecoming Golf Classic and Student Athlete Awards Celebration, supervises employees, and serves as the Champions of Character and Student Athlete Leadership Team Liaison. Friends University athletic program encompasses 18 sports in NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) championship programs, the coaches, assistant coaches, athletic trainers, sports information, and student workers.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. May include evening and/or weekend hours.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
At least two years of administrative experience in intercollegiate athletics is required, preferably at the NAIA level.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to work with diverse populations is required.
Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required. Will support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the values of the NAIA Champions of Character. Must be able to carry and/or lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Strong management and organization skills are required. The ability to compile data and prepare, write, and review reports is required; must have excellent computer skills and the ability to learn compliance systems.
