The Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor (with tenure) of Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. We are seeking a faculty member who shares BU Wheelock’s commitment to the preparation of leaders in the Sport Psychology field.
The Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development Department believes that the cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. To that end, we are especially eager to have join our ranks a colleague who supports our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, diverse, and a place where all constituents can thrive. In addition, we seek candidates with a background in educating sport psychology graduate students, and a record of publishing within the Sport Psychology field. We seek an individual with a thorough understanding of the Certified Mental Performance Consultant certification. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership for the master’s and doctoral Sport Psychology programs, to mentor and advise graduate students, to teach graduate-level courses, to engage in sport-psychology related research, and to provide service to the university and profession.

Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Kinesiology/Sport Science, or Related-Field
Established record of teaching graduate-level courses in sport psychology
Established record of research (e.g., publications, grants) in the Sport Psychology field
CMPC (Certified Mental Performance Consultant – AASP, Association of Applied Sport Psychology) or CMPC eligible
Licensed clinician at the EdM or doctoral level
