Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA) is accepting applications for Head Women’s Softball Coach. The Head Softball Coach will be responsible for initiating various aspects of the CWU Softball program. These duties include but are not limited to: day-to-day operations; the recruitment and retention of student-athletes; game strategy including practice and game coaching; fiscal planning and budget development; supervising and evaluating assistants and staff; assisting with scheduling; maintaining a positive and professional relations with students, athletes, alumni, donors, media, and fans. The Head Softball Coach must conduct a softball program in compliance with all applicable NCAA, Conference, State, National, and Institutional rules and regulations. It is also critical that the softball program works in the best interest of the university mission and goals, in which student-athletes graduate and achieve competitive success. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years Professional or Collegiate Coaching OR an equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. *Understanding of and commitment to academic and athletic excellence. *Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong computer competency skills (MS Word, Excel, email, etc.). * Experience recruiting student-athletes and fundraising for various athletic programs.
* Knowledge of all applicable individual association rules and regulations;
* Previous coaching and recruiting experience on the collegiate level.
