Manage sales and relationship development effort for sporting event recruitment function
Develop strategies that drive growth for the TBK Bank Sports Complex and the Quad Cities region
Successfully prepare bids
Meet and exceed performance measures and goals, as established annually
Oversee client service standard and manage regional and national relationships through customer relationship management (CRM) cloud-based platform (Simpleview)
Maintain a positive relationship with each event rights holder to ensure potential repeat business
Ensure effective execution of contract management is adhered to and coordinated with facility operations, as necessary
Represent the Quad Cities Sports Commission and TBK Sports Complex with strategic industry meetings and tradeshows for business development purposes
Coordinate and conduct site visits with TBK Sports Complex and hotel visits
Through secured business, proactively promote destination assets such as but not limited to the Family Museum, Palmer Hills Golf Course, area restaurants, retail, trails, parks, attractions, and regional amenities, etc.
Monitor and prepare productivity and results reports for President and CEO. Reports to be shared with TBK Sports Complex stakeholders
Work alongside and closely communicate with TBK Sports Complex venue operations staff
Work alongside and closely communicate with Frontier Hospitality staff as well as area hoteliers
Liaison to volunteer committees, as necessary
Experience and Background Required
Minimum of five years of experience working in sports management and marketing industry
An understanding of the youth and amateur sporting event industry including but not limited to multi-purpose venues
Strong interpersonal skills
Contract and agreement negotiation experience
Knowledge and/or willing to learn the Quad Cities region
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in cloud-based CRM software and comfortable working in a shared database system
Proficiency with PC’s and software such as: Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently, possesses initiative, and is a strong multi-tasker
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimal physical demands required such as the ability to lift 30 lbs.
Can throw a baseball 100+ miles per hour, has swam the English Channel, can dunk a basketball and knows the whereabouts of Bigfoot.
