Assist with coaching a highly competitive baseball program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference Know and abide by NCAA, University & Big West rules and regulations Assist with individual workout for practice Assist with conditioning during the off season Assist with monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes Assist with scouting of opponents Conduct statistical analysis of recruits Work with Athletic Academic Services on applying to school. Work with students on signing up for EC and submitting transcripts and test scores to CSUF for financial Aid Recruiting coordinator: Recruit Division I quality student-athletes. Identify type of players that are the best fit for CSUF. Work on finding JC players in California. Stay in contact and expand recruiting network. Perform recruiting duties such as weekly phone call list, transcripts, and send hand written notes. Responsible for outfielders, bunting, and base running. Hitting Coach. Coach Bases. Coordinate conditioning and agility drills with Strength Coach. Assist Head Coach with mental game. Throw batting practice Take an active role in marketing baseball on campus and within the community through Public appearances and promotional efforts Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree desired Required three years of experience coaching at the Division I level Ability to recruit Division I level student-athletes and a demonstrated commitment to their satisfactory academic progress Ability to interact successfully with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, and to work harmoniously with students and colleagues Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Rank & Salary The classification for this position is Coaching Specialist and is in the faculty bargaining unit. This is a 12-month full time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
