Overview: The Fresno State Athletics Department is accepting applications for the positon of Content Producer, an 11-month (July - May) internship in the Fresno State Athletics External Relations Office. This position will report to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations. This internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of creative story telling within a high-achieving NCAA athletics department including: strategic communications, revenue generation, fan engagement, marketing and branding initiatives, and prospective student-athlete recruitment.
Position Summary: • Responsible for producing and editing multi-platform content to deliver compelling stories and engaging messages to all external constituents of Fresno State Athletics. • Collaborate with other external relations units, various coaches and staff, and other team personnel to create, produce, and edit dynamic content that will engage fans and enhance the Fresno State Athletics brand. • Work with communications, marketing, video production and other external relations department staff to deliver a consistent message to all parties • Produce and edit video and graphic content to enhance fan engagement opportunities. • Produce and edit video and graphic content to enhance the recruitment of prospective student-athletes to Fresno State’s athletic programs. • Responsible for editing videos for in-venue board shows utilizing music, highlight clips, graphics, and effects. • Assist in the creation of sharp and entertaining video board content. • Assist in the creation of creative content for both digital and linear platforms. • Develop innovative and creative media content across social media platforms • Promote awareness of Fresno State athletic teams through social media video, graphic, and motion graphic content • Assist in the coordination of the athletic department’s social content calendar • Assist in the measurement of social media metrics • Assist in the creation of a video vault for use on all athletic department social media sites • Monitor discussions involving Fresno State Athletics on the social media landscape and engage directly with fans • Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Must possess strong computer and internet skills • Prior experience utilizing the full Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign • Working knowledge of mobile devices and tablets • Strong oral and written communication skills • Quick decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to: • Work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Travel and work evenings and weekends on a flexible schedule • Represent the University and Department of Athletics in a professional manner
Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in broadcasting, journalism, marketing, communications or related field • Prior experience utilizing the full Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign • Prior experience with social media platforms
Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience with video and graphic software • Prior experience with producing and editing creative content • Demonstrated experience utilizing the full Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign • Should be experienced in all facets of production; specifically shooting, producing and editing short and long form content for all Fresno State digital and linear platforms including social media and video board shows. • Knowledge of social media monitoring tools • Knowledge of sports • Master’s degree or progress toward such a degree
