Dakota State University is seeking candidates for a Head Baseball Coach. This is a twelve-month, benefit eligible position. The purpose of this position is to direct all aspects of the baseball program and enhance the direction of the Dakota State University Athletic Department. As the Head Baseball Coach, the incumbent will be responsible for oversight and administration of all aspects of the baseball program which will include recruitment, retention and graduation of student-athletes, fundraising, compliance, budget management, and coaching.
Qualifications: *Strong interpersonal communications *Demonstrated ability to write and communicate persuasively *Developed problem solving skills *Strong organizational and time management skills *Ability to coach, mentor and develop student athletes *Strong commitment to graduation and retention *Excellent relationship-building and volunteer engagement skills *Ability to work independently and as part of a team *Ability to relate to multiple internal/external constituencies *Must possess a positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and a high degree of initiative *Experience with fundraising for the sport and department *Experience with athletics and knowledge of NAIA rules is preferred. *Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, additional computer skills is preferred *A Bachelor’s degree is required for the Coaching position, Master’s preferred. *Three years of previous college coaching and recruiting experience at any level in baseball is preferred.
