The College of New Jersey invites applications for Assistant Athletic Facilities & Equipment Coordinator. This position resides in the Athletic Department, within the Division of Student Affairs and reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Event Planning.
The Assistant Athletic Facilities & Equipment Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Equipment Room including but not limited to developing and managing laundry service for athletic teams as needed for contests and practice, managing the distribution of clean laundry, ensuring team equipment and apparel is laundered to the correct specification and health standard, implementing and executing and inventory control system and collecting all apparel annually to generate final inventory reports.
This position works closely with the Assistant Director of Facilities & Events on event operations and external clients & events including communicating with visiting teams and officials prior to game day, supervising and assisting with set up, tear down and clean up for all athletic contests and running complete events to ensure goals and expectations are met for the best student-athlete and fan experience in alignment with the college, division and athletic department mission.
The Assistant Coordinator also assists with overseeing, hiring and training event and equipment room student-staff & interns as well as the coordination of facilities scheduling and facilities maintenance.

Knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations.
Knowledge of the administration of athletic facilities, athletic apparel, and equipment storage and distribution.
Certified in first aid, CPR & AED.
Strong organizational skills along with the ability to effectively communicate, supervise, implement and lead. Ability to lead, supervise, train and direct student-workers and interns.
Athletic Equipment Managers Association Certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the care & distribution of athletic equipment & apparel and administration & scheduling of athletic facilities.
