This position will assist both the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance & Student-Athlete Welfare and the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategy & Engagement while gaining in several facets of Athletic Administration at Trinity College.
This is a 2-year internship provided through the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Internship Grant.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Compliance Coordination - Assist in roster management duties and communication of changes to all constituents - Assist in completion of NCAA compliance and eligibility forms - Coordinate tracking and documentation of official visits according to athletic department policy - Attend monthly NESCAC compliance coordinator conference calls - Assist in frequent compliance education - Participate in research to issue interpretations of NCAA & NESCAC rules - Assist in preparation for compliance education for the athletic department and/or college constituents - Run reports throughout the year to monitor and track academic eligibility, honors, and awards. - Assist in producing the annual NCAA Sports Sponsorship & Demographic Report
Student-Athlete Development & Engagement - Assist in coordinating programming in conjunction with the Career Development Center at Trinity - Assist in coordinating athletic alumni networking events - Assist in coordinating Student-Athlete Welfare programming in areas such as:
Required NCAA Sexual Violence Prevention Alcohol and Other Drug use Nutrition Mental Health Leadership - Participate in SAAC and other student-athlete group meetings and associated activities - Assist in coordinating community service opportunities for student-athletes - Assist in enhancing spectator volume at home contests via: Coordinating special events in conjunction with home contests (half-time contests, attendance giveaways) Potentially manage a fan enhancement application Other Administrative - Administer contest contracts (includes execution for both home and away events) - Assist in home event management - Assist in hosting conference and NCAA championships as assigned to Trinity - Other duties on an adhoc basis as assigned by senior management in the Athletic Department
