About the Position: The Athletics department at Cal State Fullerton strives to provide an intercollegiate athletics program that is an integral part of the total educational experience at CSUF and fits within the overall mission of the University. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Director of Athletic Communications. Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics, the Director of Athletic Communications administers the dissemination of information regarding the intercollegiate athletics program. Provides direction for staff, plan coverage, provides media relations materials, and serves as media liaison for all fifteen intercollegiate athletic teams. Represents Sports Media in developing a communications plan that will increase the visibility and brand for the Athletic Department as well as the University. Works with University Strategic Communications to plan and coordinate all major press conferences and media requests for the Athletic Department. Responsible for continued development of desktop publishing’s technical capabilities and Internet publicity, including website and social media for Intercollegiate Athletics. Designs and maintains editorial and graphic content on intercollegiate athletics website using html, Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Other duties as assigned.
