The Associate Director of Sports Nutrition Education will provide individual, group, team nutrition counseling and education to enhance the performance of student-athletes. The Associate Director of Sports Nutrition Education will oversee the following operations: Campus Outreach, Liaison to Sports Medicine Department, Eating Disorder Committee Management, directing the Education Curriculum for student-athletes, Sports Nutrition Department Budget, and Sports Nutrition Catered Snack Management. The Associate Director of Sports Nutrition Education will report directly to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Performance.
Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, or related field. Master’s degree in clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, or related field preferred.
Completion of a dietetic program and supervised practice program approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sports nutrition and/or 2-3 years of related work experience in the field of collegiate or professional athletics.
Licenses / Certifications: Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
Certification / Licensure as required by state of practice preferred. Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) preferred.
