The University at Albany, a member of the America East Conference, invites applications for a full-time (12-month) position as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. This position’s main responsibility will be to coach and develop a highly competitive Division I women’s volleyball team. The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program including recruiting, official and unofficial visits, practice planning, game preparation/scouting, and scheduling of contests. This position will work in conjunction with the sport administrator to effectively manage student-athlete welfare, academic compliance and monitoring, NCAA/Conference/University rules compliance, fundraising and community service.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Dept. of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. Previous successful Division I collegiate women’s volleyball coaching experience (three year minimum) is required. Previous successful Head Coaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules are required. A demonstrated ability to recruit and work with culturally diverse groups of people is also required.
