Description: Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for an Assistant Coach - Strength and Conditioning for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.
The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach reports directly to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. This position is responsible for assisting with the scheduling of strength and conditioning workouts in cooperation with the head coach of each sport, specifically for Football, and for other teams as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. Additionally, this position provides expertise, guidance, and training in the areas of strength training and physical conditioning.
Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists with the scheduling of strength and conditioning workouts in cooperation with the head coach of each sport, specifically for Football, and for other teams as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. Creates all strength and conditioning workouts for assigned teams. Attends and supervises all workouts with student-athletes of assigned teams. Coordinates approval of all changes in scheduled workouts with the head coach of each assigned sport. Provides athletes with guidance and proper training techniques for weights and other strength training equipment. Maintains the athletic weight room, as well as assists with the inventory and compliance of all equipment in coordination with all university rules and regulations. Maintains up-to-date records on the strength programs of each team, as well as the individual workouts of every assigned student-athlete. Performs other duties as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience required in area of expertise
