Position Overview: Merrimack College baseball is seeking candidates for the position of assistant baseball coach within the Department of Athletics. This is a 10 month position.
Responsibilities: The assistant coach will be responsible for working with hitters and infielders specifically. They will assist the head coach in all aspects of the program to include, but not limited to: daily practice plan, recruiting, travel, strength and conditioning, student-athlete academics and welfare. The candidate will need to complete all mandated NCAA compliance mandates. Candidate must be able to throw batting practice and hit a fungo.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience at the college level, either coaching or playing. The candidate must have a desire to travel for recruiting and a willingness to maximize the student-athlete experience for all those in the baseball program. They must demonstrate a working knowledge of NCAA Division II legislation, rules, and regulations. Playing experience as an infielder is preferred.
