The Office of Financial Aid is seeking an Assistant Director . This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid, this position is responsible for the daily oversight of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) financial aid for athletes. This position will apply relevant federal, state, institutional and NCAA rules and regulations; develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with awarding and adjusting financial aid to student athletes, review individual student-athlete awards and team limits. Direct financial aid compliance activities/trainings with constituents external to the financial aid office.
Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years experience in higher education with NCAA compliance
Knowledge of basic federal, state and NCAA aid rules and regulations.
Must have a basic knowledge of integrated computer systems and possess practical application abilities.
Experience working with excel and database processes and data analysis
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSUStandard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Work experience at NCAA Division I institution
Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant Database software.
Experience working with Banner Information System.
Working knowledge of Institutional and/or athletic scholarship programs and broad managerial and financial aid experience.
