The Director of Recreational Programs reports to the Office Manager and Executive Director of Cook Inlet Soccer Club. This is a year round position, responsible for 5 separate Recreational/Grassroots Soccer Leagues (both indoor & outdoor seasons). This position maintains office hours and also is present at all Recreational functions. Must maintain a high level of customer service and create positive relationships with coaches, players and parents.
+ Recruiting and training recreational coaches
+ Communicate CISC policies, age group coaching philosophy, and recreation training curriculum to recreational coaches
+ Works with the Office Manager to identify facility needs and allocation of facilities for recreational training games and trainings.
+ Responsible for planning and executing all recreational leagues (Summer, Fall Outdoor, Fall Indoor, Winter, Spring) and the Summer Recreational Tournament.
+ Works with the office manager to select uniform style and anticipate quantity orders for recreational players.
+ Works within the provided budget for all recreational seasons.
+ Identifies potential sponsors for the recreational program.
+ Cultivates relationships with potential donors and sponsors.
+ Maintains a visible presence within all recreational functions (game days, tournaments and trainings).
+ Occasionally needed to coach teams within the recreational program.
+ Participates in communicating the benefits of pre-comp and competitive program to parents
+ Provides information for social media posts and creates information for the CISC website.
+ Must attend first aid and risk management courses on an annual basis.
Must have a valid drivers license
Candidates with Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience running sports program/leagues
Must be customer service oriented

Cook Inlet SC was founded in 1982. The club was founded for the elite player, and strives to place these players with knowledgeable and motivated coaches.
Cook Inlet SC regularly competes in the USA Cup, Dallas Cup, Surf Cup, WAGS, Mustang Stampede, Crossfire Challenge, US Club Regional’s, Farwest Regional’s, President’s Day Tournament, NIKE Friendlies in Bradenton, many others and college showcases across the country.
To date, Cook Inlet SC has produced over 80 Alaska State Championship teams, and over a 100 local tournament champions; additionally we have won tournaments from the west and east coast of the lower 48 states.

The club programs focus on player development in a fun, soccer passionate environment while offering professional training to assist our qualified players on advancing to the highest levels of play their abilities and effort may take them. Many of the local high school and amateur teams are comprised of Cook Inlet Soccer Club players and many other players in the area have been developed in the club’s grassroots and pre-competitive programs. Cook Inlet Soccer Club has promoted players to many colleges and university in the western United States and has placed local players on the State and Regional Olympic Teams and even at the National Team Level.
