Assistant Director of Athletics-Compliance Northern Michigan University
Northern Michigan University is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Athletics-Compliance. The position will serve as a member of the Department's management team; and responsible for NCAA and conference compliance and student-athlete relations, advocacy and academic progress.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Three years of work experience in a student service. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with NCAA rules/bylaws.
Knowledge/skills/abilities required: Ability to use NCAA compliance software including Compliance Assistant Internet (CAi) and Legislative Services Database (LSDBi) or a comparable database/software program. Possess CPR and first aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Ability to accurately and efficiently perform required computerized tasks including word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and web-based applications. Ability to work effectively under stressful and high pressure conditions. Ability to travel and work flexible and demanding hours. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
The position is traditionally Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with evening and weekend work required when necessary. The targeted salary range is $45,280-$49,200.
