Summary of Position
The Athletic Box Office Manager reports to the Associate Athletic Director, Business Development and is responsible for all matters pertaining to customer service, athletic ticket sales and operations, distribution of marketing materials, special event preparation, administrative information systems and marketing and sales reporting. The Box Office Manager creates a comfortable ticket purchasing atmosphere for customers making the buying process easy and customer friendly and revenue enhancing.
Manage the customer's ticket sales experience through the Box Office and UNH Athletics website with customer centric focus insuring that ticket purchase information is simple, current, and easy to find. Daily customer service via phone and email with respect to ticketing issues with customers, coaches, staff, students, season ticket holders and general publics.
Act as primary liaison to ticket system provider and lead the upkeep and maintenance of ticketing system. Master the administration and back-end management of the ticket system software. Create and organize event manifests & price codes as needed.
Manage Athletic Ticket Office. Maintain and staff public Box Office hours that optimizes the customer experience and ticket sales revenues. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all Box Office and ticket taking personnel. Write and periodically update a procedures manual for the training and instruction of ticket office procedures; i.e., complimentary tickets, audits, etc. Order all ticket and parking processing materials including ticket stock and pre-packaged ticket books. Maintain care of ticket office equipment including hardware, software, and supplies.
Manage all aspects of Athletics ticketing inventory including new and renewal sales. Maintain accurate ticket records of all ticket buyers. Assist in the processes for season ticket renewals, invoices, and payments related to general and clubs season tickets. Process all internal ticket requests for Institutional departments. Assist in making all seat assignments and re-assignments for season ticket holders, Special Publics, Corporate Partners and group ticket sales for all reserved seating and general admission ticketed sports events.
Produce and update ticket sale management information. Provide routine ticket sales and redemption reports including presales and post-event for all Athletics events as requested. Track and report on all coupons and vouchers used via special promotions. Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting of single game tickets sales and all plan sales. Monitor Box Office in-person and on-line ticket sales trends for use in strategic marketing plans.
Establish procedures in the use of the ticketing software product enabling the Athletic Department to independently extract ticket sale data on an event-by-event basis and thereby establishing an accounts receivable for ticket settlements with our Business Service Center and the Box Office.
Participate in creating and implementing marketing initiatives for all categories of tickets and ticket plans. Lead the support, processing and execution of all package ticketing elements.
Direct contact person with the SNHU Arena for UNH and NCAA events held at their facility. Assist with seat holds, distribution of tickets, and direct interaction with SNHU Box Office Manager. Direct contact person for other university athletic departments for consignment tickets and will call arrangements.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Athletic Director and Associate Athletic Director, Business Operations.
Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of NCAA rules, ensure compliance with NCAA rules, and report to the Director of Athletics your knowledge of any violation of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules. Actions that violate NCAA rules will result in disciplinary or corrective actions as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.
