SUMMARY: Responsible for the coordination and execution of the year-long volunteer program and all assigned events and programs.PEACH BOWL INC. (PBI) JOB RESPONSABILITIESVolunteer Program:• Management of the volunteer program, including recruitment initiatives, database management, volunteer assignments, etc. for the Bowl, Kickoff Game, and Challenge.• Primary liaison to Committee Chairs, captains and volunteers.• Coordinate with all departments and chairs a comprehensive recruitment and utilization plan for new and current volunteers.• Coordination, management and supervision of annual volunteer meetings, gatherings, thank you parties, etc.Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Events:• Responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination and implementation of all aspects of assigned Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Events, including:• Parade• Box 5 High School Band Operations• Team Events and Battle for Bowl Week Program - Andretti Outing, College Football Hall of Fame Dinner, Basketball Challenge (or 3rd team event each year), Production of Players Video• Transportation - Volunteer Drivers, Specialty Shuttles (Media, Attractions, VIPs), Additional vehicles as needed• National Football Foundation Program - Hosting each year’s College Football Hall of Fame members, Managing their stay during Bowl Week, Managing the volunteer hosts • Team Announcement Event• College Football Awards DinnerChick-fil-A Kickoff Game Events:• Responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination and implementation of all aspects of assigned Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game Events, including:• Tailgate Town built by The Home Depot• Exterior EventsJob duties of each event above include but not limited to:• Develop and manage annual budgets• Overall coordination of all event day logistics.• Responsible for coordination between PBI departments including media, marketing, sales/tickets, finance and administrative/executive.• Primary liaison to event facilities. • Primary liaison to event sponsors and vendors. • Produce event manual/task lists/timelines & scripts.• Coordinate with facility to provide housekeeping, security and event staffing.• Organize all logistical needs including but not limited to entertainment, catering, décor, audio/visual, gifts, room layout, etc.• Development of RFP’s as needed for event fulfillment and implementation.• Primary liaison to the Committee Chairs of each event.• Responsible for working with the marketing department on the production, installation, dismantle and inventory of event signage and décor.Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge:• Assist as needed with all aspects of the event including the following:• Coordinate travel, schedules, participation needs, and hospitality for 90+ coaches, celebrities, and wives.• Manage volunteers for the Challenge.• Produce event documents to help train staff and volunteers.
Bachelor's degree plus ten (10) year’s experiences or equivalent work experience.
Ability to manage, prioritize and bring to completion multiple projects.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Proofreading skills required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters.
Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment is extremely important as well as dependability. A willingness to work long hours required at times.
Ability and the understanding that you will work various evenings and weekends.
Ability and the understanding that you will work very long hours in December including all holidays and New Year Day.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing, and Publisher a plus.
Experience with Project Management.
The understanding that we are constantly growing/changing our events so your responsibilities will grow and change as needed.
