The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Coach, Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field. This position will be responsible for assisting in all phases of a Division I program, reporting to the Director of Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and field. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to coaching, recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, home meet management, administrative duties, public relations, and other duties assigned by the Director. The assistant coach is responsible for conducting any duties or activities with integrity and within the rules of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the America East Conference, the University of New Hampshire, and the State of New Hampshire.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree and relevant competition and/or coaching experience at the college level. Applicant must have strong communication and organizational skills, initiative and good judgement. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules, ability to pass the NCAA recruiting test. Applicant also should be proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and have a valid driver's license. Evening and weekend work will be expected. He or she must be able to successfully complete a background check. A Master's Degree preferred and a sense of humor.
