The Director of Creative Services will serve as main graphic designer and will be responsible for the visual brand of the ECU Athletics Department across print, digital and some audio/video platforms, as well as facility graphics. The selected candidate works directly with the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement in the strategic development of awareness campaigns and organizational branding towards the achievement of visibility, relevance and revenue goals/objectives. Position will also serve as a liaison with print advertising media partners across region while developing advertising strategies, schedules and promotions. Director of Creative Services will work in support of department's social media efforts, and may be asked to work some game day events.
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization with at least one (1) year of full-time professional experience in commercial design, art, marketing, graphic design, sports or related field is desirable. Expert level experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects. Preferred candidate must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment; proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines; excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the external division; knowledge of usage and best practices for consumer related products (marketing collateral, websites, TV commercials, digital signage).

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
