South Dakota State University is accepting applications for an assistant soccer coach. This position will assist with maintaining a competitive Division I soccer program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; development of the team/players; travel coordination; monitoring academic performance; and building positive social skills. This position will also perform administrative duties, assist with summer camp responsibilities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Earned Bachelor’s degree.
At least one year collegiate soccer coaching experience, club coaching, or Division I playing experience (an equivalent combination will be considered).
Commitment to promote an atmosphere of compliance and adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Earned Master’s degree.
Coaching experience at Division I level.
Ability to recruit student-athletes.
Experience organizing and operating summer camps.
NSCAA National Diploma or USSF “C” license or above desired.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Experience with office administration (travel, scheduling, etc.).
