The Production Coordinator assists the video coordinator with inventory, maintaining, repairing, and coordinating use of video equipment for athletics video department. Oversees/performs majority of produced content for athletic video department. Oversees/performs multiple production/broadcast events with video coordinator and other designated staff. Coordinates with video coordinator to expand coverage over multiple platforms such as assisting with athletic teams and their day to day functions. Supervises & train student staff along with video coordinator. Perform other duties as assigned by video coordinator & administrators. This position will also have duties associated with the Communications Department. Strict adherence to established NCAA, Southland Conference, Texas State University System, and Lamar University rules and regulations. A violation of these rules and regulations can lead to disciplinary action including termination. Job Requirements: 1. Assist Director of Video Operations with day to day operations of video operations for athletics department. 2. Perform daily edits for web & television media. 3. Updates all statistical data sheets for ESPN3 productions. 4. Assist video coordinator in strategically producing motivational, informational, & unique features for multiple outlets. 5. Assist with scheduling of broadcast operations crew for multiple sports. 6. Assist with broadcast engineering operations as needed. 7. Maintain and monitor all storage drives/shares/ftp for data usage and maintenance. 8. Provide production knowledge to Director of Video Operations and crew in live broadcasts. 9. Stay current on latest trends within broadcast/production field. 10. Maintain rapport with university athletics staff. 11. Supervise student staff. 12. Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Video Operations. Reports directly to the Director of Video Operations.
Bachelors degree required
Knowledge of video equipment and their operation required
Skill in producing and editing video/film required

Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred
