The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for a 12-month, part-time position of Compliance Assistant. Marist College Athletics is an NCAA Division I Intercollegiate program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Compliance Assistant will assist the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance in monitoring of the Department of Athletics compliance with NCAA and MAAC rules and regulations.Responsibilities include maintaining data/documentation related to all aspects of the comprehensive rules compliance program, tracking admission and initial eligibility status of incoming prospective student-athletes; assistance in maintaining NCAA squad lists, team practice schedules, recruiting and coaches telephone logs. Monitoring and overseeing administration of all forms of financial aid, awards and benefits for student-athletes. Assist with the preparation of NCAA reports, maintain accurate records and coordinates rules education meetings for coaches and staff with NCAA and MAAC requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred; thorough knowledge of intercollegiate athletics is necessary, knowledge of NCAA rules, ARMS software and NCAA Compliance Assistant Software preferred. Demonstrated experience in sports administration. Strong commitment to the student-athlete and maintain highest standards and values; requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and commitment to integrity.
