The Social Media Program Manager (SMSM) is responsible for developing Notre Dame Football social media campaigns and subsequent day-to-day execution of social media distribution with engaging, interactive multimedia content. The SMSM will develop comprehensive content plans for prospective student athlete audiences, including specifically targeted campaigns to individuals or position groups that provide exclusive insight into the core values that make Notre Dame unique. Additionally, the SMSM will oversee, providing guidance and instruction to, an internship position to assist with strategy execution and content creation & aggregation. An understanding of graphic design is preferred. This position will work under the dual auspices of the Football Recruiting Office and Fighting Irish Media to determine strategic direction.
Minimum Qualifications: Marketing or Communications degree preferred but not required. We will consider a wide range of bachelor’s degrees.Must understand social media platforms and be able to communicate well through social media to reach multiple audiences, particularly generation z. Must have ability to think creatively, employ innovative tools and techniques and organize social media campaigns. Creativity and excellent communications skills are essential, including clearly demonstrated ability to write. Must have 1-2 years experience, 3-4 years of professional experience preferred. Must be organized, professional and meet deadlines.Compliance with Notre Dame, ACC and NCAA rules and regulations is critical. This requires candidate to work a variety of hours including, but not limited to, nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: A passionate Notre Dame Sports fan with an understanding of ND culture is strongly preferred.
